Apple 寻求制片厂提供电影给 iTunes Store 的租借服务

Apple 正在与好莱坞（ Hollywood ） 制片厂/电影公司谈判，要求他们为 iTunes Store 的电影租借服务提供新电影。iTunes Store 的租借电影每部 2.99 美元，可以让租借者播放一段时间。
现在还不清楚有任何一间制片厂打算和 Apple 合作，只知道 Viacom 的 Paramount Pictures 对这个有意思，而 General Electric 的 Universal Studios 则反对。
这个消息是由金融时报（ Financial Times ）所报导， Apple 的发言人拒绝对这件事发表任何意见。
我觉得 Apple 电影租借服务的目的不在于赚钱，而是为了进一步扩大她旗下产品的应用范围，进而加大 iPod 或未来 iPhone 的市场。
